Data Operations refers to the ongoing effort to monitor our systems, as well as account for evolving reporting requirements and data needs throughout all stages of the data lifecycle. With continuous improvement being the focus, the collaboration between UAIR and campus partners regarding tool and methodology development is key to data operations practices. For example, when it comes to fiscal year and financial reporting—which often involves multiple parties, business processes, and audits—UAIR has clearly defined roles and responsibilities that allow the team to assess for and perform required upgrades. As another example, UAccess Analytics is currently hosted on Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), with each system update being rigorously tested before implementation.
