Data Integration focuses on combining data found in different source systems based on various business and technical requirements. This ability to implement cross-system integrations is a key benefit to maintaining the EDW. Another benefit of maintaining the EDW is ensuring that institutional metrics are pulled from a single source of truth to address the university’s data needs. Internally available and official institutional reports that combine financial, employee, and budgeting information are an example of data integration in practice.

The Business Officer Central Dashboard pages are an example of a report that pulls data from different sources, integrates those sources, and presents high level information.
