Master Data Management focuses on the tools and processes used to unify an organization’s core data. This core data is a critical component for accurate reporting, as it serves as the foundation for all transactions and analyses. For the university, UAIR maintains processes and structures in place that allow master data around student, employee, and Designated Campus Colleague (DCC) attributes (like name, email address, or NetID) to be stored and accessed for various reporting needs. Even when a given individual is associated with multiple university affiliations that are maintained in different enterprise systems and data structures, UAIR is able to consistently report on these core data attributes.
