Ramon Garzia jurado (alcalde mayor of Bernalillo) accused of forcing indians to catch fish for him during holy week; other agricultural labors, spinning and weaving extacted without compensation. Fray Diego Espinosa of zia mission brings initial charges against Garzia after Garzia accuses him of inciting indians to disobedience, interference in state affairs, etc. Testimonies, accusations and counter-accusations. Offers some chronological indication of different gobernadores of zia and Santa ana. Garzia jurado ordered to pay indians for work done. Failure to do so ended in his arrest, jailing, and embargo on personal belongings. Continued contempt for Spanish justice and officials resulted in Garzia jurado's exile to pueblo of Zuni for two years. (raul saba) (1980)
