Description:
1/2 nat[ural size], one cut in half. Flesh orange color. ... A very large form prized because of large fruit. Leaves long and narrow - deep green. A blush on one side - almost carmine, a large favorite fruit. In flavor this fruit has very little of turpentine taste - is quite sweet and has little or no rag. Photo shows shape of fruit, compared with oribo - little distinction can be made (each tastes better than the other). The flesh is a deep yellow and the fruit attractive in every way. Leaf of oribo shorter and broader. [Shantz travel journal, Feb. 20, 1920]
