Description:
House in process at right, also finished house, down path through lowland to next village. Along the path I collected sorghum and red leaf vine. A typical view. Houses are for most part on high land. The stream between serves as water supply and bath room. They bath[e] several times a day - and also carry water to drink usually from a pool. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 28, 1920]
