Description:
The great grass flat type in the fore is largely of the tall grass (Herb. 566) and an occasional Echinochloa - with low Sporobolus forms and yellow gladiolus. In the back there's great bush savanna type - tall grasses and all kinds of trees - usually small, also Landolphia and other vines. [Shantz travel journal, Jan. 14, 1920]
