Description:
A fruit tree - called locally a "plum" or "fruit tree" and very abundant on the more impervious or shallower soils. It has a large fruit but I have had none which seemed ripe. An insect has spoiled many of the fruits. [Shantz travel journal, Dec. 2, 1919]
