Fairly dense growth on sandy land. A beautiful low open forest - trees well shaped - not flat. Combretum zeheri and mucronata, Burkea, Morula (said to be the only fruit tree - persistent spine), black fruit. [Shantz travel journal, Nov. 7, 1919]
