Dr. Burtt-Davy - introducer of teff - bales in back. 1/4 million acres now grown in Transvaal annually. A very fine green hay - second to none. Does well where Lucerne will not grow. In the market with Burtt-Davy. A most interesting and useful man - and very anxious to help in every way. Hay market consists of about the following: teff - Eragrostis abyssinica - the most important forage.... Regarded as superior for horses - not quite as good for milk as Lucerne.
